Restorative Economics

We cannot move forward as a country until we finally address the moral stain of slavery and the economic impact that 150 years of systemic racism has had on generations of Black Americans.

Reparations are a means for the U.S. government to provide economic restitution for generational injustice and poverty. By keeping our nation’s commitment to justice for all, we can not just close the wealth gap, but ensure that every family has the freedom to live gainful lives. This is holistic restitution, and would repair local economies across the country so that more jobs are created, community development is spurred, and the country as a whole can thrive into the future. It’s about equity.
