Potus Set To Nominate Extremist To The Bench In Kentucky; Charles Booker, Democratic Nominee For U.S. Senate, Responds

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Less than a week after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned one of the most consequential landmark cases in our nation’s history, discarding privacy and human rights of our families, the President of the United States has reportedly made a deal with Mitch McConnell to nominate an anti-abortion attorney for a lifetime appointment to the Eastern District Court in Kentucky. In response, Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, Charles Booker, issued the following statement:

“The President is making a deal with the devil and once again, the people of Kentucky are crushed in the process. The Federal Judiciary is losing legitimacy daily, and this news only makes that worse. At a time when we are fighting to protect human rights and the agency of women and all birthing people to make decisions over their lives, this nomination is a complete slap in the face. I am calling on each and every one of my future colleagues in the U.S. Senate to reject this nomination should it ever come to a vote.”
