Protect Kentucky’s Children

As a parent of three young daughters and as someone who grew up inf Kentucky’s poorest zip code, Charles cares deeply about the quality of life of children of Kentucky, and recognizes the incredible challenges that they face.

In our commonwealth, one in five children live below the poverty line and one in six are living in hunger. Most tragically, Kentucky ranks No. 1 in reported cases of child abuse compared to every other state in the nation.

To make matters worse, our leaders have taken measures to cut school lunch programs, and have focused instead on targeting LGBTQ children, and making our classrooms less safe from gun violence. When elected to the U.S. Senate, Charles will fight to make sure that no child in Kentucky has to wonder where their next meal will come from, where they will rest their head at night, or if they are safe in their classroom.
